We are a mix of over 20 academics, educators, HR experts, industry consultants and entrepreneurs.

Fergus is an experienced consultant, entrepreneur and CEO, with a particular passion for mental and physical health and performance. Fergus brings a unique blend of expertise in org psych, change management and human performance consulting together with successfully founding a tech based business, triggering two successful trade sales and a decade of experience running industry leading B-B tech based organisations.

Fergus is an advisory board member and active investor in early stage ventures looking to bring innovative technologies to market that aim to improve health and wellbeing.

Fergus has a B.App.Sci. (Sports Science and Psychology), Graduate Diploma in Organisational Psychology, an MBA from AGSM and GAICD.

Kate Britt

Co-Founder, Executive Director, Client Success Director

Kate has a deep background in HR transformation, organisation development and improvement across the private sector, government, and not for profit, both nationally and internationally. Kate is passionate about supporting our clients and partners to apply and integrate strategies and technologies to discover, develop and recognise workforce capabilities for the future.

Kate co-founded Everitas, partnering with Credly, the leader in the digital credential movement, to deliver digital credential solutions across the Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Everitas, Kate held a series of Executive HR roles with the NSW Education and NSW Health, Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation, Red Cross, and Global Medical Solutions (UAE).

Dr Marcus Bowles

Co-Founder, Advisory Board Chair, Research and Insights Director; Institute of Working Futures Chair

Dr Marcus Bowles is a co-founder, Advisory Board Chair and Research and Insights Director of Capability.Co. Marcus is also Chair of The Institute for Working Futures. For over 30 years, Marcus has successfully delivered more than 280 major consultancies undertaking strategic foresighting and research into workforce capabilities that make people and organisations more agile and future ready.  Marcus has an extensive list of books, journals and publications.  He has held academic appointments as Director and retains honorary professorial appointments at University of Tasmania and Macquarie University. Since 1998 his research has led to a number of EdTech start-ups that have obtained commercial success and global awards. Marcus holds a number of appointments to private and professional national boards, including as board member of Engineering Education Australia and as chair of three leading technology and educational companies.

Marcus has a PhD in the importance of organisational design and capability in accelerating innovation and responsiveness, a Masters of Education and a B.A. in Political Science.

Dr Sam Ghosh

Head of Learning and Assessment

Dr Ghosh is the Head of Learning and Assessment at CapabilityCo. He manages the end-to-end delivery of credential validation processes and oversees the production of specific courseware and assessment to ensure compliance with standards agreed with university partners. He also holds a senior leadership position as the Associate Head of Future Students and is a senior academic and researcher at the University of Tasmania.

 

Sam has a PhD in Authentic Assessment, a Masters in International Business and an MBA in Maritime and Logistics Management.

Nick Kellaway

Head of Product and Delivery

Nick has ownership of Capabilty.Co’s product roadmap, with responsibility for continuing to evolve our innovative solutions to meet existing and future customer needs. Nick has worked in the field of capability development for over a decade, holding leadership positions at both the Australian Graduate School of Management at UNSW and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. The most recent of these roles saw him leading the product strategy for Short Courses at AGSM, including the design and delivery of custom learning solutions and the portfolio of open enrolment programming. Nick previously held a program management role with Prosci.

An experienced and highly credentialed Senior Executive, Founder and Board member, Mark is currently CEO of leading Australian digital payments provider: eftpos Digital + Beem. Prior to his current role, Mark was Co-Founder and Executive Director of the highly successful South East Asian Internet TV Subscription Service iflix Limited; and prior to this, CEO of digital media company and Nine Network subsidiary, Nine Digital. Mark is also an Advisory Board member for PlayersVoice.com.au, a platform that powers athlete media.

David is a member of the Credly Advisory Board and a contributor to regional and global forums including the IMS Global Learning Consortium and the International Council on Badges and Credentials (ICoBC), and regularly presents on the subject of digital credentialing best practice.

Tim Parsons

Advisory Board Member

Tim is an experienced and passionate tech executive with board-level, C-suite and front-line experience in corporates, scale-ups and start-ups, research organisations and not-for-profits. He’s been agency-side running tech- and product-innovation teams, and client-side building massive-scale B2C and B2B products and services. Tim has produced multiple documentary films, conferences, hackathons, accelerator programs, strategic growth and co-design workshops. Tim is currently Expert in Residence – National Space Industry Hub, Chair of the Space Industry Association of Australia among a host of other roles.

Tim has a PHD in Aerospace Engineering, a BEng in Aeronautical Engineering and a Bachelor of Computing and Mathematics.
